Vodacom's service revenue rose 13% in Q3 2025, driven by growth in Egypt and financial services, with Safaricom’s mobile money hitting $500.7 billion in transactions.
Vodacom Group reported a 13% increase in third-quarter service revenue to 34.6 billion rand ($2.17 billion) for the period ended December 31, 2025, driven by strong performance in Egypt, where revenue rose 39%, and continued growth in financial services, which saw a 24.7% increase.
The company surpassed 100 million financial services customers, with Safaricom’s mobile money platforms processing $500.7 billion in transaction value over the past year.
South Africa’s service revenue grew 1.4%, supported by contract and fixed connectivity growth, while international operations expanded 12.6%.
Vodacom also advanced a $2.1 billion deal to increase its stake in Safaricom to 55%, pending approval.
