Two men charged in Ontario for running fake construction company that stole over $800K from customers.
Two men from Mississauga and Vaughan have been charged in connection with a fraudulent construction company, A&E Contractors, accused of defrauding customers of over $800,000 in Brampton and Mississauga.
Peel Police say the business had no legitimate operations, physical address, or corporate records.
The investigation, which began in July 2024 and lasted two years, found the company collected payments for work never completed.
The suspects face charges including fraud over $5,000, possession of criminally obtained property, and money laundering.
Authorities believe more victims may exist and are urging anyone who dealt with the company to contact police.
