TMK Energy hit a record 674 cubic meters daily at its Mongolian gas project, up 13% from December, driven by strong well performance and stable water output.
TMK Energy set new production records at its Gurvantes XXXV coal seam gas project in southern Mongolia, reaching a daily output of 674 cubic metres (over 23,800 scfd) on January 21, the highest to date, with monthly production rising to 18,370 cubic metres—up from 16,306 in December.
This marks the sixth consecutive month of growth, driven by the LF-07 well, which exceeded 10,000 scfd twice in January.
Average daily output rose to 593 cubic metres, a 13% increase, while water production remained stable at about 497 barrels per day, aiding reservoir depressurization.
Pressure tests are ongoing to assess reservoir readiness for higher output.
The project, in Mongolia’s Nariin Sukhait area, holds a 1,214 BCF contingent resource and 5,300 BCF prospective resource.
Despite cold weather and power interruptions, local operations continue, supporting Mongolia’s shift to cleaner energy.
