The project, serving rural communities including Hanover, Mildmay, and Cargill, has raised $8 million toward a $10 million goal, supported by individual donations, churches, and community efforts.
It received $1.5 million in provincial funding and a 3.5-acre donated site valued at $280,000.
The six-bed facility, with a seventh rotating bed, will feature 50 parking spaces and four horse stalls, designed for comfort and natural views.
The campaign “Closer to Home” continues to seek donations.
