Sainsbury’s has ended its Chop Chop rapid delivery app at 50 UK stores, integrating its same-day delivery service into its main shopping app.

Chop Chop, launched in 2016 to compete with Tesco’s Whoosh, allowed 60-minute grocery delivery for a fee.
The retailer did not disclose a full rollout plan.
Meanwhile, Co-op plans to open or upgrade 18 stores in early 2026, including a new location in Didcot, and will invest £70 million in 7,000 apprenticeships by 2030.
