A Mississippi man was arrested after allegedly setting two fires, including his parents’ home, in a spree that prompted a drone and K-9 search.
Alexander Kent, 27, of Oxford, Mississippi, was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly setting two fires Monday night, including one at his parents’ home and another at a nearby residence, where four people were safely evacuated.
Authorities say he drove a vehicle into structures, set them ablaze, and fled before being tracked using drones and a K-9 unit.
Kent faces two counts of arson and one count of felony malicious mischief.
Officials believe he may have been experiencing a mental health crisis.
No injuries were reported, and the manhunt ended without further incidents.
