Joonas Korpisalo replaces injured Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen on Finland’s 2026 Winter Olympics hockey team.
Boston Bruins goaltender Joonas Korpisalo has been added to Finland’s 2026 Winter Olympics hockey team as an injury replacement for Buffalo Sabres’ Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, who sustained a lower-body injury on January 27 and is unable to compete.
Korpisalo, 31, will make his Olympic debut, joining goalies Juuse Saros and Kevin Lankinen on Finland’s roster.
The defending champions, without top center Aleksander Barkov, begin their campaign on February 11 against Slovakia.
This year’s Games mark the first since 2014 with NHL player participation.
