Indian PM Modi visits Malaysia Feb. 7–8, 2026, to boost strategic ties and cooperation across key sectors.

From February 7 to 8, 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Malaysia for the first time since India and Malaysia upgraded their relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in August 2024. This will be his third official visit to the country. He will meet business leaders at the 10th India-Malaysia CEO Forum, have bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, and interact with the 2.9 million Indian diaspora in Malaysia, the third largest in the world. Building on strong historical and cultural ties between the two countries, the visit seeks to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, defense, maritime security, digital technology, energy, healthcare, education, and people-to-people ties.
