The Hyundai Kona Electric is now eligible for the UK’s Electric Vehicle Grant, reducing its price by up to £1,500 for buyers. The grant applies to new EVs under £37,000 meeting specific criteria. The entry-level Advance model starts at £33,500 and includes LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, a heat pump, and keyless entry. It features a 65kWh battery, 215bhp motor, 319-mile range, and 102kW DC rapid charging, reaching 10 to 80 percent in 41 minutes. Hyundai UK says the change promotes greater competition in the EV market. The vehicle is now available to order, with deliveries expected soon.
