The Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute treated over 26,800 new cancer patients in 2025, with more than 9,000 from outside Gujarat, including major numbers from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
It performed over 17,800 surgeries, 50,130 chemotherapy sessions, 5,852 radiation treatments, and 50 robotic-assisted surgeries, while diagnostic services expanded significantly, including a rise in PET-CT scans to 6,333.
The institute conducted 110 community screening camps, screened over 50,000 people through a no-cost clinic since 2021, detected 118 early cancers, and screened over 1,400 HIV-positive women for cervical cancer.
Ahead of World Cancer Day 2026, GCRI will honor 500 long-term survivors who have remained cancer-free for over a decade.
