In the first 15 days of January 2026, Delhi reported 807 missing persons, with women and girls accounting for nearly two-thirds of cases. Of the 509 women and girls missing, 274 remain untraced, including 169 teenagers—138 of them girls. Among minors, 13 children aged 8 to 12 and nine under eight went missing, with many still unaccounted for. Adults made up the largest group, with 616 missing, 435 still untraced.
