Two Colorado restaurant workers arrested for allegedly assaulting customers they suspected of skipping a $100 bill.
Two Fraser, Colorado restaurant employees, Ezequiel Villa Penaloza, 50, and Juan Narvaez Castro, 23, were arrested on felony charges of second-degree assault and strangulation after allegedly following two customers they suspected of leaving without paying a $100 bill.
Police say Penaloza pointed a handgun at the pair and Castro applied a chokehold during a confrontation at a convenience store on February 1, 2026.
The victims were cited for petty theft and violating a protection order.
Both suspects were booked into Grand County Jail.
Authorities stressed all are presumed innocent and community safety remains a priority.
The restaurant’s name was not released.
