A Tamil Nadu man was arrested in Begur, Karnataka, on February 1 for selling ganja near a hostel, following a tip-off.
Police seized 4.85 kg of ganja worth Rs 2.50 lakh and 15 ziplock bags.
The accused, unemployed and from Dindigul district, said he sourced the drug from Odisha’s hill regions for resale in Bengaluru.
He was remanded to judicial custody after appearing before a court on February 2.
The operation was led by Begur Police Station under Deputy Commissioner Narayana M and Inspector Krishnakumar.
This arrest follows a separate January 28 operation in Bengaluru that led to 10 arrests and seizure of drugs valued at Rs 4 crore.
