The Steelers hired former NFL lineman Domata Peko as their new defensive line coach.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have hired Domata Peko as their new defensive line coach, replacing Karl Dunbar, according to multiple reports.
Peko, a 41-year-old former NFL defensive lineman, played 15 seasons, including 11 with the Cincinnati Bengals, and retired after the 2020 season.
He previously served as a defensive line coach at Colorado and worked with current Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy in Dallas.
Peko will now coach Steelers veterans like Cam Heyward and T.J. Watt, as well as young players including Derrick Harmon and Yahya Black.
His hiring brings deep AFC North experience and a return to the NFL’s highest level after a brief college coaching stint.
