Frenchman Adrian Mannarino defeated Spain’s Pedro Martinez 7-6 (3), 6-1, with 14 aces, while French wild card Arthur Gea advanced when Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard retired after injuring himself hitting a volley into his eye. Gea will next face Czech third seed Tomas Machac.
