The Patriots, led by first-year coach Mike Vrabel and quarterback Drake Maye, who won top NFL honors following an outstanding second season, are aiming for a record seventh championship without Tom Brady or Belichick. The Seahawks, aiming for their second Super Bowl win, feature a top-ranked defense and quarterback Sam Darnold, who led two teams to 14-win seasons and is playing in his fourth Super Bowl. Maye and Darnold were listed on the injury report with minor, non-threatening problems when both teams arrived in California prior to the game at Levi's Stadium.
