U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the arrest of two more individuals, Ian Davis Austin and Jerome Deangelo Richardson, in connection with a January 18 protest at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, bringing the total number of arrests to nine.
The protest, which disrupted a church service and targeted the pastor, who is also an ICE official, led to a federal grand jury indictment on charges of conspiracy and interfering with First Amendment rights.
Among those arrested were journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort, and activist Nekima Levy Armstrong.
The demonstration included chants calling for justice for Renee Good, a mother killed by an ICE officer.
The case remains under federal investigation, with no court dates yet scheduled.
