Nigeria’s federal government, led by Vice President Kashim Shettima on behalf of President Bola Tinubu, has launched a free nationwide training initiative targeting 10 million Nigerians, focusing on youth and women, to boost financial literacy, digital skills, and entrepreneurship.
The program, part of the Aso Accord on Economic and Financial Inclusion, involves a Memorandum of Understanding with six professional bodies—ICAN, CIBN, CIS, NICA, CRMI, and NIIE—to deliver joint training, certification, mentorship, and digital transformation efforts.
The goal is to build a skilled, ethical workforce and strengthen national economic inclusion by aligning professional standards with development goals.
