Jazeera Airways launched its first direct scheduled flight from Kuwait to Amman City Airport on February 2, 2026, becoming the first airline to offer regular service between the two cities.
The carrier began all Amman flights at the newly active Amman Civil Airport on February 1, citing reduced travel time and lower costs for passengers.
The move, part of a memorandum between Jazeera Airways and Jordan Airports Company, aims to ease congestion at Queen Alia International Airport and boost regional connectivity, tourism, and economic ties.
The airport, previously Jordan’s main civilian airport until 1983, now serves as a hub for chartered, VIP, and business flights with a 3,275-meter runway and support from key ground handlers.
