Hisense's Qingdao factory has been named the world’s first Customer Centricity Lighthouse in the television industry by the World Economic Forum, recognizing its use of AI, big data, and virtual reality to speed up product development and manufacturing.
The factory achieved a Net Promoter Score of 84%, cut R&D cycles by 34%, reduced material costs by 18%, and slashed new employee training time by 60%.
It now delivers products 62% faster from customer need to market, with a 20-second production cycle for 85-inch TVs.
This marks Hisense’s third Lighthouse honor, following previous awards for sustainability and innovation.
The company, founded in 1969, operates in over 160 countries and leads in large-screen TVs, also serving as the official sponsor of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
