A fire at Irvine’s former Forum shopping centre damaged a Celtic fan club and caused a partial roof collapse, prompting closures and an ongoing investigation.
A major fire broke out late Monday night at the former Forum shopping centre in Irvine, Ayrshire, damaging the Irvine No1 Celtic Supporters Club and causing partial roof collapse.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service responded with six fire engines and two high-reach appliances, later reducing the response as the fire subsided.
No injuries were reported, but the adjacent Rivergate Shopping Centre closed, with only Asda and an outside Greggs unit open.
Authorities advised avoiding the area, and Police Scotland is investigating the cause, which remains unknown.
The site remains closed pending safety assessments.
