Dr. Ong Geok Chwee retires as Bridge Alliance CEO on March 31, 2026; Mr. Loo Boon Chee takes over April 1.

Bridge Alliance announced that Dr. Ong Geok Chwee will step down as CEO on March 31, 2026, after eight years, choosing to retire. Mr. Loo Boon Chee, current Senior Vice President of Roaming and Products, will take over as CEO on April 1, 2026. Under Dr. Ong’s leadership, the alliance expanded cross-border IoT, CPaaS, and Telco APIs, added members like Deutsche Telekom and du, and strengthened its global presence. Mr. Loo, with over 30 years in telecom, helped launch key platforms including the regional CPaaS and API Exchange. The alliance, serving nearly 2 billion customers across 36 operators in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, will continue focusing on roaming, enterprise solutions, and cost efficiencies.
