Canadian woman missing since 1980s identified via DNA from Florida remains found in 1985.
Jeanette Marcotte, a Canadian woman who vanished in the early 1980s while traveling from Saskatchewan to Vancouver, has been identified through DNA analysis by Othram, a forensic genetics firm, using samples from remains found in Malabar, Florida, in 1985.
The remains were discovered alongside those of Kimberly Walker, previously linked to suspected serial killer John Crutchley, known as the "vampire rapist," who died in 2002.
While Marcotte’s identity is now confirmed, the cause of her death and her connection to Florida remain unknown, and authorities cannot confirm if Crutchley was involved.
