A 21-year-old Oregon man was indicted on 19 charges, including rape, after allegedly meeting a child on Snapchat, assaulting them on Christmas Eve, and providing drugs and alcohol.

A 21-year-old man from Cornelius, Oregon, Alexis Jovanny Leyva-Lopez, has been indicted on 19 charges, including multiple counts of rape and sexual abuse, after allegedly raping a child he met on Snapchat. Authorities say he arranged an in-person meeting on Christmas Eve, where he allegedly assaulted the victim and provided alcohol and drugs. The victim reported the incident to hospital staff before year’s end, leading to Leyva-Lopez’s arrest. He is currently held at the Washington County Jail. The case, formally indicted on January 30, 2026, remains under investigation.
