Two UC students arrested for breaking into arena, stealing alcohol; both charged and due in court.

Two University of Cincinnati students, Owen Singer and Brom Schindler, both 19, were arrested and charged with breaking and entering Fifth Third Arena on January 24, 2026, after stealing alcohol from a bar area on the third level. Surveillance footage showed them cutting through the Lindner Athletics Center, loading drinks into backpacks and pockets, and leaving. Officers located Schindler in his dorm using campus security footage, where they found stolen alcohol in his jacket and bag. Schindler confessed and identified Singer, who was later arrested at his dorm. Both face breaking and entering charges and are scheduled for arraignment.
