On National Safe Food Day 2026, a quiz competition involving over 180 students from grades five to ten was held in Rajshahi, Bangladesh, organized by the District Administration and the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority.
The event, aimed at raising awareness about food safety, adulteration, preservation, and consumer rights, featured questions on health risks and safe food practices.
Rizwan Ahmed, a grade ten student, won first place, with Arnila Mahmud and Ruhul Amin taking second and third.
Ten top performers received certificates, and all participants were awarded prizes.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Tuktuk Talukdar emphasized shared responsibility in food safety, with education highlighted as a key tool for prevention.
The event was held at River View Collectorate School and included officials from health, education, and media sectors.
