HDB to launch 1,600 new public flats in Singapore’s Lakeview and Shunfu areas in June 2026, the first in over 40 years.
The Housing and Development Board (HDB) will launch 1,600 Build-To-Order flats across three projects in Singapore’s Lakeview and Shunfu areas starting in June 2026, the first public housing in those neighborhoods in over 40 years.
The largest project, near Lakeview Estate, will include 1,200 units—470 two-room Flexi flats, 740 four-room flats, and 50 public rental units—across five blocks with views of MacRitchie Reservoir.
It will feature amenities like a clinic, minimart, childcare center, fitness stations, a three-generation playground, and a roof garden, with new covered linkways to a bus stop and a realigned park connector.
Two additional projects will add about 420 units.
The developments aim to strengthen community ties in mature towns, with construction set to begin in Q2 2026.
HDB plans to launch 19,600 BTO flats in 2026, including over 4,000 with shorter waiting times.
