Forty-six families sue Bright Horizons and Camden Council after a nursery employee pleaded guilty to abusing children over a decade.
Forty-six families are taking legal action against Bright Horizons nursery and Camden Council after Vincent Chan, 45, pleaded guilty to 56 charges including sexual abuse and creating indecent images of children, with offenses spanning from 2007 to 2017 and including abuse at the nursery from 2017 to 2024.
The Metropolitan Police called the case one of their most complex investigations, uncovering over 25,000 indecent images.
Parents allege the nursery ignored repeated concerns and failed to implement proper safeguards, enabling the abuse of children as young as three.
A local safeguarding review is underway, and families are demanding accountability, systemic reform, and potential corporate prosecution.
Chan’s sentencing is set for February 12, 2026.
