Disney World’s Animal Kingdom will permanently close DinoLand U.S.A. and its Dinosaur ride on February 2, 2026, ending 28 years of operation.
The attraction, originally called Countdown to Extinction, will be replaced by a new Tropical Americas land inspired by the Western Hemisphere, featuring rides based on Encanto and Indiana Jones, with a 2027 opening.
The transformation is part of a $60 billion, decade-long park upgrade.
