Sharjah highlighted its role as an Arab publishing leader at Egypt’s record-breaking 2026 Cairo Book Fair.
The Sharjah Book Authority showcased Sharjah’s role as a leading Arab hub for knowledge and publishing at the 57th Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF 2026), held February 1–3, 2026, in Egypt.
The event, the largest in its history with 1,457 publishers from 83 countries and over 6,637 exhibitors, featured more than 400 events and 100 book signings.
Sharjah’s pavilion highlighted its long-term investments in books and education, drawing visits from Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, who received signed books dedicated to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the First Lady.
SBA CEO Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri emphasized strengthening Arab cultural ties, authorship, translation, and distribution through collaboration with Egyptian and international partners.
