Perham, Minnesota native Patrick Murphy has released his new single “Slow Song Fast Car,” marking a major career milestone.
Starting at age three playing piano in church, Murphy moved to Nashville where his pop-country sound—inspired by Billy Joel, Elton John, and Journey—grew into a blend of Rascal Flatts, Dan + Shay, and Rob Thomas.
He co-wrote Tim McGraw’s hit “Standing Room Only,” performed with Maren Morris and Kane Brown, and now releases his first solo single with support from Warner Records Nashville and Sony Music Publishing.
Co-written with Hunter Phelps and Jerry Roe and produced by Dann Huff and Justin Niebank, the track signals a new chapter in his career, with more music expected in 2026.
