Himachal Pradesh will launch the fourth phase of its Below Poverty Line (BPL) survey on February 1, 2026, aiming to ensure all eligible families receive welfare benefits.
So far, 59,829 families have been added to the BPL list across the state in the first three phases.
Eligible households include orphans under 27, elderly individuals aged 59 and above, those with disabilities, women-headed families without adult male members, and families with heads having 50% or greater disability.
Additional criteria cover MGNREGA workers with 100+ days of work, families with members suffering from chronic illnesses like cancer or Parkinson’s, and those living in concrete homes built with housing scheme assistance.
The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, attended by senior officials.
