Inspired by his mother’s illness and a 2016 exposé on poor hospital food, Beckta partnered with hospital dietitians to create appealing, health-focused meals like bone broth and protein-boosted shepherd’s pie.
The initiative, years in development and now in trial, aims to improve patient recovery and satisfaction, with plans to serve over 3,000 meals daily across the hospital’s General campus.
