Bangladesh has cut fuel prices by 2 taka per litre nationwide, effective February 1, 2026, aligning with global oil market trends. Diesel is now 100 taka per litre, octane 120 taka, petrol 116 taka, and kerosene 112 taka, down from previous rates. The adjustment, made by the Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, follows a 2024 policy to automatically revise prices monthly based on international benchmarks to ease consumer costs.
