The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi saw a record 6.8 million visitors in 2025, driven by global tourism and religious gatherings.
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre in Abu Dhabi welcomed 6,846,723 visitors in 2025, a 4% increase from 2024 and its highest annual attendance.
Of these, 1.5 million were worshippers, including large gatherings during Friday prayers, daily prayers, and Ramadan and Eid celebrations.
The mosque hosted nearly 900,000 iftar guests and distributed over 2.6 million iftar and suhoor meals through a humanitarian initiative.
Most visitors were international, with Asia leading at 49%, followed by Europe at 33%.
India was the top country of origin at 20%, followed by China, Russia, and the United States.
The Centre offered cultural tours, hosted 21,988 official delegations including heads of state and ministers, and expanded educational and cultural programs, including exhibitions, immersive experiences, and multilingual content.
