A new horror film, *The Mummy: Reckoning*, has finished filming in north Essex, shot at locations including Colchester Castle’s dungeons and Harwich Redoubt Fort.
Produced by local companies Frenchie Flicks and Raging Tides Productions on a £22,000 budget, the film follows a Nazi-created mummy unleashed after years in storage.
Directed by Jamie Weston and edited by Jamie Pascoe, it features mostly local cast and crew, with an expected runtime of 88 minutes.
Currently in post-production, the film will be distributed by ITN in Las Vegas for streaming on platforms like Amazon Prime, with a private screening in Colchester possible.
Producers highlight its role in supporting regional talent and the local economy.
