Indian high jumper Tejaswin Shankar won the men's high jump at the DeLoss Dodds Invitational 2026 in Kansas, clearing 2.26 meters to defeat Olympic and World Indoor Championships silver medalist Shelby McEwen.
The 27-year-old, who holds India’s national record of 2.29 meters, recorded his best jump in three years.
McEwen finished second with a season-best 2.22 meters, tied with American Devin Loudermilk.
The event, a World Athletics Indoor Tour Bronze-level meet, marked Shankar’s second competition of the 2026 season.
He attempted but failed to break his national record with three tries at 2.30 meters.
