Veteran South African batter David Miller has been cleared to play in the 2026 T20 World Cup after passing a fitness test, Cricket South Africa announced on January 31.
The 36-year-old, who missed recent matches due to an adductor strain sustained in the SA20, will join the squad in Mumbai ahead of the tournament’s February 7 start.
Miller, a key player with 133 T20 Internationals and 2,630 runs, will rejoin the Proteas for their Group D opener against Canada on February 9 in Ahmedabad.
South Africa, led by Aiden Markram, will also face India in a warm-up match on February 4.
Pacer Lungi Ngidi is recovering from a leg injury and is expected to be fit for the tournament.
