Chhattisgarh farmers could double income with new climate-smart farming, government support.
According to Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, modern agriculture and integrated farming could double Chhattisgarh farmers' income, with per-acre earnings potentially increasing from ₹35,000–40,000 to ₹1–2 lakh.
He announced the formation of a collaborative group of scientists, farmers, and officials to develop crop strategies tailored to climate change, encouraging the purchase of oilseeds, pulses, and high-value horticulture at the Minimum Support Price.
The government will support scientific pest control, disease management, and high-yield varieties.
Chouhan also emphasized the advancements made in rural areas, such as the construction of more than 18 lakh homes, nearly 48,000 km of roads, and 123 bridges under national programs in just 18 months.
Los agricultores de Chhattisgarh podrían duplicar sus ingresos con la nueva agricultura climáticamente inteligente y el apoyo del gobierno.
