The Buffalo Bills hired Pete Carmichael Jr. as offensive coordinator, pending contract details.
The Buffalo Bills have hired Pete Carmichael Jr. as their new offensive coordinator, according to NFL Network, marking a key step in head coach Joe Brady’s staff overhaul.
Carmichael, 54, most recently served as a senior offensive assistant with the Denver Broncos under Sean Payton and previously led the New Orleans Saints’ offense from 2009 to 2023.
The move follows the Broncos’ firing of offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi after their AFC Championship Game loss.
Carmichael and Brady previously worked together on the Saints staff from 2017 to 2018.
Brady will retain play-calling duties, while the Bills continue to fill other coordinator roles.
