The Atlanta Falcons have hired Alex Van Pelt as quarterbacks coach under new head coach Kevin Stefanski, according to NFL Network.
Van Pelt, 55, most recently served as a senior offensive assistant for the Los Angeles Rams and previously held the offensive coordinator role with the New England Patriots in 2024.
He previously worked with Stefanski in Cleveland from 2020 to 2023.
A former NFL quarterback who played for the Chiefs and Bills, Van Pelt began his coaching career in 2005 with NFL Europe’s Frankfurt Galaxy and has coached with the Bills, Buccaneers, Packers, and Bengals.
The Falcons also hired Tommy Reese as offensive coordinator and Bill Callahan as offensive line coach.
Defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich and several other assistants from former head coach Raheem Morris’s staff were retained.
