Mark Anderson, 36, was arrested at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center for impersonating an FBI agent in an attempt to release Luigi Mangione, accused in the December 2024 murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Anderson presented only a Minnesota driver’s license and documents and was found with a barbecue fork and pizza cutter.
Authorities confirmed he had no valid federal credentials and was apprehended without breaching jail security.
