The Miami Dolphins hired Nathaniel Hackett as quarterbacks coach following a coaching change and quarterback struggles.
The Miami Dolphins have hired Nathaniel Hackett as their new quarterbacks coach, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano.
Hackett, 46, returns to offensive football after a year as a defensive analyst with the Green Bay Packers and brings extensive experience as an offensive coordinator with the Bills, Jaguars, Packers, and Jets, along with a brief, unsuccessful stint as head coach of the Denver Broncos in 2022.
His hiring comes after the Dolphins fired head coach Mike McDaniel and struggled with quarterback play, including benching Tua Tagovailoa in favor of rookie Quinn Ewers.
The move signals a shift to improve quarterback development and offensive strategy under new head coach Jeff Hafley.
