A man charged in connection with the 2025 murder of John Birch was arrested in Queensland and denied bail.

A 33-year-old man has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder in connection with the 2025 discovery of John Birch’s body under a tarp in Glenorie, Sydney. He was arrested in Agnes Water, Queensland, following a search warrant at a home on Seaspray Drive, where items were seized for forensic analysis. Extradited to New South Wales, he was denied bail. This follows the earlier arrest of a 24-year-old man charged with murder and a 35-year-old woman charged with the same accessory offense, both awaiting trial. The investigation remains ongoing.
