flag Madhya Pradesh paid ₹200 crore to 1.17 lakh soybean farmers under a price support scheme, part of its 2026 Agriculture Year plan.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav disbursed ₹200 crore to over 1.17 lakh soybean farmers as the final installment under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana, bringing total payouts since the scheme's launch to nearly ₹1,500 crore for over 7.1 lakh farmers. The payment, made in Mandsaur, compensates farmers for selling below the Minimum Support Price. Yadav also inaugurated infrastructure projects including a 4-lane flyover and railway underpasses, part of the state's 2026 'Agriculture Year' initiative. The government plans to expand the scheme to mustard and groundnut crops and strengthen links between farmers and agro-industries.
