In 2025, Jinhua, an inland Chinese city without ports or borders, achieved $150.5 billion in foreign trade, becoming one of China’s “trillion-yuan trade cities.” Its rise is driven by Yiwu, home to the world’s largest small goods market, which supplied 233 countries with products like Spring Festival decorations, fueled strong demand from Southeast Asia.
Yiwu’s exports surged 19.4% year-on-year, supported by a manufacturing base across 33 industrial categories, digital trade including over 4,000 new export online shops, and cross-border e-commerce reaching 169.6 billion yuan.
