Former Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao to be questioned Jan. 30 over alleged illegal phone tapping during his rule.
The Telangana Special Investigation Team (SIT) has summoned former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to appear for questioning on January 30, 2026, regarding allegations of widespread illegal phone tapping during the BRS regime.
Due to his age, Rao was given the option of being examined at a convenient location in Hyderabad or at his farmhouse, which he preferred.
The investigation, which has been ongoing since 2024, focuses on allegations that the Special Intelligence Bureau monitored politicians, journalists, businesspeople, and judges.
Several BRS leaders have already been questioned, but no political figures have been officially charged.
The BRS has dismissed the investigation as a political vendetta, whereas the Congress-led government insists it is evidence-based and upholds the rule of law.
El ex CM de Telangana, K. Chandrasekhar Rao será interrogado el 30 de enero por presuntas escuchas telefónicas ilegales durante su gobierno.
