ENTF therapy plus physical rehab reduced stroke disability significantly in a small study, but results need larger trials to confirm.
A new study presented at the 2026 American Stroke Association conference found that electromagnetic network-targeted field (ENTF) therapy, when combined with physical therapy, significantly reduced disability in stroke survivors.
In a pooled analysis of two small trials involving 124 moderately to severely disabled patients, 33.8% in the ENTF group achieved freedom from disability after three months, compared to 11.9% in the sham group.
Participants received 40 to 45 sessions over 8 to 12 weeks, starting in the hospital and continuing at home with portable devices.
Improvements in motor and cognitive function were observed, with no serious side effects reported.
Researchers suggest ENTF therapy may help restore normal brain activity, but experts caution the results are preliminary and need confirmation in larger trials.
La terapia ENTF más la rehabilitación física redujo significativamente la discapacidad por accidente cerebrovascular en un estudio pequeño, pero los resultados necesitan ensayos más grandes para confirmarlos.
