Delhi High Court reviews ED's challenge to interim bail for Jaypee Infratech's former CMD, citing his mother's critical health.
The Delhi High Court has issued a notice on the Enforcement Directorate’s challenge to interim bail granted to Manoj Gaur, former CMD of Jaypee Infratech, citing his 92-year-old mother’s critical health condition.
The court directed the ED to verify her medical status, including her need for dialysis and multiple ailments.
Gaur, arrested in November 2025 over alleged ₹13,000 crore money laundering affecting 25,000 homebuyers, was granted 14 days of interim bail on January 24.
The ED argued the bail was improperly granted without considering custody parole, while Gaur’s lawyers said PMLA’s dual conditions don’t apply to interim bail.
The case is set for hearing on February 6, with a regular bail application scheduled for January 31.
