King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark will begin a six-day state visit to Australia in March 2026, marking their first official trip since Frederik became king following his mother Queen Margrethe II’s 2024 abdication.
The visit, their fourth to Australia, will span the Northern Territory, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, and Tasmania—where the Queen was born and raised.
Accompanied by Denmark’s deputy prime minister, foreign minister, climate minister, and 55 business leaders, the royal couple will engage in diplomatic, cultural, and economic activities.
